The watch is inspired by the graphic works of the Optical Art movement, specifically exploiting the Moiré effect.
The three values—hours, minutes, and seconds—are represented by three squares of different sizes: larger for the hours, medium for the minutes, and smaller for the seconds. The squares are filled with a pattern of white lines tilted at slightly different angles, on a black background with an opacity of 0.5 to allow the different patterns to overlap and create the Moiré effect.
The angle of the internal lines depends on the battery level, with an angular range of 1° to 179° for a charge level between 0% and 100%, respectively. The three squares have lines angles that differ by one degree from one another. They move horizontally from left to right, and their position in this space is proportional to the elapsed time.
